Established in 2000, Turbine Surface Technologies is a joint venture between Rolls- Royce and Chromalloy, providing specialist coatings solutions to state-of-the-art gas turbine components. Situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join TST as a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer.  As a Graduate Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working at the cutting edge of high technology manufacturing, the Plant team provide ownership for all Rolls- Royce plants that TST supply. You will be involved in developing new manufacturing methods to improve part yields and reduce costs. All whilst working in a high performing Manufacturing Engineering team to maintain our strong delivery and drive to zero defects.

Job Purpose:

 Graduate Manufacturing engineers will provide support for all plants, including NPI and PI products. Engineers will undertake inloads of new products through the APQP and PPAP milestones. The role will look to monitor performance across products within the plants, supporting the drive to zero defects and the continuous improvement journey at TST.

Duties and responsibilities:

 Support the introduction of New Product Introduction and Product introduction using planning tools.

  • Maintain external Yield and Right First-Time charts to inform and drive product delivery and quality performance.
  • Resolve issues on non-conforming parts in line with the delivery requirements.
  • Liaise with customers, providing updates through Yield and Right First-Time reviews.
  • Prepare technical reports to an acceptable standard and give informative presentations.
  • Prepare technical documentation to instruct the use of new equipment, methods, or systems.
  • Comply with TSTL HS&E policies, take personal responsibility for you own safety at work and ensure any HS&E actions you are assigned are closed in a timely manner.

Key Competencies:

  • Professionally qualified engineer: you will hold a degree in a relevant field or national equivalent. This includes and is not limited to: Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering or an appropriate Level of experience in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical approach to work
  • Proactive with an ability to manage and overcome challenges with problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, confident in communicating across all levels of the business.

Salary & Benefits:

Salary: Competitive £28,000-£30,000

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week – 08:00 to 16:15
