Established in 2000, Turbine Surface Technologies is a joint venture between Rolls- Royce and Chromalloy, providing specialist coatings solutions to state-of-the-art gas turbine components. Situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join TST as a HR Assistant Apprentice, our dedicated HR team are an integral part of the business that provides comprehensive business support with a people centric open-door policy. This is an ideal opportunity for a candidate looking to begin a career within HR, with opportunity to be involved with a range of HR activities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support HR Recruitment/ Coordinator in the onboarding process; compile induction packs in readiness to be issued to new starters.
  • Support short term absence: managing the absence line, informing Line Managers of any absent employees, logging absence and updating the HR system on a daily basis.
  • Provide absence and punctuality metrics through HR system reports, assisting in the Punctuality procedure, running lateness reports and liaising with line managers to issue counselling notices.
  • Assist with internal and external HR related enquiries or requests, escalating where necessary.
  • Assist with projects as and when required, at times responsible for managing and delivering own projects.
  • Ensure leavers are processed as and when required; assisting with exit interviews.
  • Assist with internal recruitment for shop floor, sending out invite and outcome letters, setting up interviews, and interviewing candidates as and when required.
  • Assisting in the coordination of the yearly Ethics presentation.
  • Input the HR Proformas including Holiday and Request to leave early forms as and when required.
  • Update the HR System (TMS) with employee change of details such as contact details.
  • Ensure the forms outside HR are replenished on a regular basis.
  • Support the HR team in sending out standard letters and any other correspondence required.
  • Scanning and filing as and when required.
  • Empty the HR Box daily.
  • Support the HR team in day to day tasks and project work, and to carry out any other duties that may be required by the Company.
