Established in 2000, Turbine Surface Technologies is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Chromalloy, providing specialist coatings solutions to state-of-the-art gas turbine components.  Situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.

Purpose:

This role involves supporting IT across the business by responding to and resolving technical software queries, working in a small dynamic team, helping to maintain and develop core IT systems, and to support all users on site and remotely, delivering an outstanding level of support to promote high levels of internal customer satisfaction.  TST are looking for a personable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual with a drive to develop their skills across a wide range of IT systems by planning work, coupled up with the tenacity to see projects through to completion with the ability to prioritise and refocus in a busy department.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Providing support to all computer system users with hardware and software issues.
  • Maintenance and upgrading of IT systems.
  • Database administration.
  • Deployment of IT projects within the business on time, to budget and to specification.
  • Alignment of systems in accordance with IT Security best practice.
  • Understand and comply with TST’s Health & Safety policies and procedures.

  • Able to work effectively either on site or remotely as required.
  • A self-starter, able to launch and complete tasks.
  • Communicating IT specific concepts to users.
  • Troubleshooting common IT issues.
  • Managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Ability to co-ordinate and work at multiple levels in the organisation.
  • To liaise with and manage external specialist suppliers in the delivery of managed services or improvement projects.

 

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office including MS Access.
  • Sever virtualisation.
  • Microsoft Active Directory management.
  • TCP/IP networking.
  • WIFI networking.
  • Desktop and laptop hardware configuration.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: TBD

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am – 16:15pm
