Established in 2000, Turbine Surface Technologies is a joint venture between Rolls-Royce and Chromalloy, providing specialist coatings solutions to state-of-the-art gas turbine components.  Situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.

Purpose:

The Maintenance Stores Person will manage and maintain maintenance stock and procure parts when required for both Site 1 and Site 2.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Your job title is Maintenance Stores Person, and you agree to carry out all duties normally covered by that title and any additional or different duties in any department, which the company may require from time to time.

  • Ensure every part has a location.
  • Checking and replenishing inventory upon delivery.
  • Liasing with various suppliers to obtain quotations and price comparisons to ensure the best value for money and lead times as part of the departments drive to meet budgets.
  • Creating new stock items and locations on Infor system
  • Liaising with Equipment Specialists to obtain projected usage levels and expected lead times to ascertain the best holding and re-order levels to ensure constant stock supply in line with current process requirements.
  • Raise delivery errors or quality complaints with the relevant supplier.
  • Track order status to ensure correct information is archived on Infor.
  • Perform weekly PI counts on maintenance stock items to a high degree of accuracy and maintain detailed records of all counts in line with company audit procedures.
  • Report and investigate any discrepancies on weekly PI counts.
  • Support the eternal financial audits.
  • Support the maintenance team with stock queries.
  • Ensure high standards of housekeeping and organization to ensure storage areas comply with HS&E and COSHH policies.
  • Arrange parts returns and repairs with relevant suppliers.
  • Issuing consumables/parts to the engineering team, ensuring that all movement of parts into and out of stores is accounted for and that systems are kept up to date.
  • Working as part of the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) team to assist in the organising of plant shutdowns.
  • Picking of stock and kitting of parts.
  • Receiving deliveries.
  • Supporting the purchasing team to resolve invoice queries and flag shortages.
  • Ensuring that the maintenance stores is kept tidy and organised.

Key Competencies & Experience:

  • Stores or procurement experience preferable.
  • Good computer literacy, with a specific focus on Excel (VLookup, Pivot Table, SumIf minimum) and databases.
  • Experience within an engineering environment, basic general knowledge of engineering.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety, with knowledge of regulations or compliance relevant to engineering stores.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan work and see this through to completion.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings to a minimum level.
  • Ability to react to issues and problems without direct supervision.

Salary and Benefits:

Salary: £22,000 – £30,000 DOE
