This is a temporary position to cover sickness absence situated on Sherwood Business Park in Annesley, Nottingham.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Quality Manager to join our growing business. As Quality Manager, you will be required to drive our 3 key objectives: Keep TST Certified, Protect our customers, Drive world class quality performance. You will also be required to support and coach the members of the Quality team to support their development and deputise for the Head of Quality when required.
This is an integral role that acts as the first point of contact for internal and external quality concerns. You will be required to drive compliance to aerospace industry standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and Customer Standards by Maintaining the Internal Quality Management System (QMS), Supporting the business by facilitating and coaching cross functional problem solving, ensuring problem solving methodology is robust and to Drive pro active improvement of quality performance
Accountabilities:
- Ensure continuation of existing certifications (AS9100, NADCAP, Customer Approvals)
- Coach and support growth of the Quality team
- Influence improvements to Quality KPI performance
- Ensure compliance to Customer Standards by maintaining the internal QMS and driving continuous compliance to customers and industry standards
- Drive investigations process using the appropriate quality tools
- Present material at internal or external business reviews to senior management team and customer
- Represent the Quality function at meetings where customers, supplier and business leaders are present
- Lead key BPD (business plan deployment) objectives working cross functionally representing the Quality function
- Lead cross-functional improvement projects, influencing key stakeholders
- Resolve customer issues through the robust application of problem resolution tools and methodologies
- Ensure the Calibration process is co-ordinated
Required Skills & Attributes:
- Excellent communication skills, confident in liaising with colleagues to promote team working and to ensure a smooth flow of work.
- Work effectively as part of a team and build effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
- Ability to coach and develop team members
- Proven experience managing complex projects and proactively resolve issues
- Knowledge of practical experience working with RCA and Quality Tools
- Working knowledge of Microsoft suite (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous accountability for quality management
- Auditing experience
- Knowledge and experience working with AS 9100 RevD or similar industries standards
- Experience of defining quality objectives and drive to achieve them
Salary & Benefits:
Salary: Competitive £45,000-£65,000
Hours of work: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week, 8:00am – 16:15pm.
