The TST Family Fun Day, the main even in the Charity Committee diary took place on Saturday 31st August. There were loads of activities for everyone to enjoy. On site there were fairground rides, bouncy castles, children’s zone with face painting, balloon artist, crafty corner and of course lots of food, soft drinks and ice cream.
For the competitive people amongst us there was the Omelette challenge, Cake Competition, a Gladiator Bout, Bungee Run, Rodeo Ride, High Strike and of course the Dunk Tank. How many times could the First Line Managers be dunked? More photos to follow……
A big shout out to all the personnel & and their families who come along and made the day such a success. Also, a big thank you for those that took part in preparing for and working on the day. The TST Performance through our People ethos gave our people the opportunity to take part in the day by exploring new ways of collaborating and getting connected. It was a brilliant day, plenty of sunshine, a bit of rain, some fabulous Raffle prizes and so far, we have raised a staggering total of £4,457.25 for the Royal British Legion with still some monies to be counted.
The Family Fun Day was an excellent way to show appreciation to our hard-working staff and to also value the support they receive from their families.
The next event in the calendar is the Virtual Horse Racing Night on Saturday 5th October in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. There will be a Pie & Pea supper and plenty of chances to pick some winners!
